About JerichoNet - (aka a few Frequently Asked Questions)What is JerichoNet? JerichoNet is a website dedicated to the tv show Jericho, it's continued survival on the airwaves, and to the fans. It's purpose is to give a launchoff point to other Jericho websites, as well as the Emmy Nominated CBS Jericho website, for new and old viewers alike. It also gives fans a place to assist with promotional efforts, new watchers a place to get familiar with the series, and the online community. It is also a place where people can truly kick back and interact with fellow members of the online community. Why another site and message board? A few fans needed a place to reorganize their thoughts, information and efforts so as to be able to sync up some efforts to work with other boards, and in particular, the CBS board. The software is more conducive to organization and general interaction between posters, in a more neutral environment. Will this take away from CBS? No. In fact, we will be dedicated to trying to sync up with the CBS board. We also provide guidance and information about other boards and sites to get the 'general scoop' of what is happening there in the case that a member or new audience member would like to go forth and participate. People are not limited to just posting here. In fact, we encourage people to visit other sites. This board truly is for the fans to be free without any other agenda. Who owns JerichoNet? Theoretically, darkcrystal pays the bills and does the designing. Mikesmom does the research. But basically, the fans own JerichoNet. If anybody wants to contribute an item, we will be happy to make it so. We are freely open to suggestion. We are also freely open to discussion with other members to see if that is what they want. You, the fans guide us. The only people we don't listen to are spammers. We shoot them on sight. All of us own JerichoNet. (And The Mayor rules the board...give him cookies.) Who is "The Mayor" on the forum? The Mayor is actually the forum. It is never really one person. It is mostly webbies who need to add something to the board, and occasionally a human will step up if decisions or problems are made that the moderators can not help with. There is also an 'expert system' hooked into The Mayor so he can occasionally interact with the board members. After all, a community official needs to interact with their constituents. Don't blame him if he sounds like DC, though. She programmed him.
